Shanghai’s Oriental Pearl TV Tower Skywalk by Jook Leung

While browsing through Jook Leungs new site ChinaVR I particularly enjoyed this panorama of Shanghai’s Oriental Pearl TV Tower Skywalk. A 360 degree sightseeing glass floor platform 300 feet (90 meters) above ground. Located underneath the middle observation sphere. The wrap around glass deck offers views from it’s location in the Pudong Lujiazui district including two of its towering neighbors: The Jinmao Tower and the taller Shanghai World Finance Center.

9/11 WTC TRIBUTE IN LIGHT 2007

The beauty and the sacrality of the monument – which was lightened the first time six month after that day, from March 11th to April 13th, is now a constant presence in the skyline of New York, on the occasion of the anniversary of the attacks, when the 88 searchlights, nearby Ground Zero, are switched on, pointing to the sky, as if they were there, suggesting an heading to the victims.
